A milk handling plant with a capacity of 1.5 lakh liters per day will be set up in the dairy plant located at Uttarakhand based Nainital Milk Producers Cooperative Union. The Ministry of Finance, Government of India has sanctioned Rs 61.76 crore for its modernization.
Commenting on this development, Nainital Milk Union President Mukesh Bora said, “We have received a letter from the Ministry of Finance, Government of India, to modernize the main dairy of Nainital Milk Producers Cooperative Union, to increase its capacity from one lakh to 1.5 lakh liters per day. And for this 61.76 crore have been sanctioned”.
It is worth mentioning that the union is selling its milk and other milk products under the brand name ‘Aanchal’.
